Nope! PLAY was created to help beginners play piano as fast as possible — without formal musical training. The same goes for parents; no musical background is needed to support your young learner’s journey with PLAY!

While it may be helpful to all learners, PLAY works best for children aged 5 and up.

With PLAY, students can start following along with music in minutes! After a few hours, they may be able to play simple songs and nursery rhymes on their own. For more advanced pieces, a couple months of practice may be needed.

While your children can grow at their own pace, we find the best results come with a minimum of three 30-minute practice sessions each week.

Yes! The first unit teaches proper posture and technique in careful detail. Thereafter, each lesson continues to teach how to play with proper form.

Yes! The last unit teaches students how to transition from PLAY to standard musical notation. If your child had trouble with notation in the past, we find that students are more likely to understand standard music notation after learning with PLAY.
